UTECH MEFPU-ASB Expo returns for its 5th edition on 21 to 23 September 2027 at Dubai World Trade Centre, co-located with Sleep Expo Middle East. It is the Middle East and Africa region’s dedicated exhibition for polyurethane, foam, adhesives, sealants and bonding, and from 2027 also sandwich panels and thermal insulation.
About UTECH MEFPU-ASB Expo
Organised by Media Fusion and Crain Communications, UTECH MEFPU-ASB Expo is the region’s only dedicated technical exhibition and conference for the foam, polyurethane and adhesives chain. Four editions have run in Dubai since the show launched. The 2025 edition included exhibitors such as Evonik, SABIC, Momentive Performance Materials, Cannon, Recaz Chemicals and Tajchem, and the show’s advisory board includes senior people from Covestro, Sika, Europur and Sobha Furniture.
What’s on the show floor
The show covers five product sectors: polyurethane chemicals, machinery and equipment; foam for packaging, acoustics and finished products; sandwich panel materials and insulation, shown in a dedicated pavilion from 2027; adhesives, sealants and bonding raw materials and finished products; and lightweight infrastructure and geotechnical applications. Live demonstrations and a three-day technical conference on sustainability, circularity and regional policy run alongside the stands, with a networking lounge for B2B meetings.
Who attends MEFPU-ASB
Manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and end users across construction, insulation, automotive, refrigeration and packaging, sourcing PU systems, foam, adhesives and insulation materials. Because Sleep Expo Middle East runs in the same halls, mattress, bedding and furniture producers walk the foam aisles too. The visitor profile is technical: procurement heads, R&D managers, specification engineers and OEM decision makers.
What a stand at MEFPU-ASB needs
This is a materials and machinery show, so the stand is built around what you are demonstrating. Machinery goes straight on the hall floor with forklift access planned for build-up; if the design calls for a raised platform, it needs cut-outs and ramps rather than a machine sitting on a false floor. Sample walls work well here: cut sections of foam blocks, sandwich panels and bonded assemblies mounted at eye level, with the datasheet next to each one.
A live demo zone needs a barrier line and, for anything involving chemicals or heat, extraction and organiser approval before the design is signed off. Because the buyers are technical and the conference runs for three days, an enclosed meeting room with a table, power and storage for samples usually earns its floor space. Heavy-duty flooring and a clean, hard-wearing finish matter more than decoration at this show.
