About WETEX
WETEX is one of the largest sustainability and utilities trade events in the MENA region. The show runs annually under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and is organised directly by DEWA. The 2026 edition expects around 50,000 visitors, 3,100 exhibiting brands, 18 country pavilions, and exhibitors from 65 countries.
The show matters because the UAE has formal commitments to net-zero by 2050 and renewable energy capacity targets that drive significant infrastructure procurement. DEWA’s infrastructure roadmap, Masdar’s renewable projects, and federal sustainability policy all feed procurement activity that runs through WETEX. The co-located World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 21-22 October in the Sheikh Rashid Hall brings additional policy and investment decision-makers to the venue.

WETEX covers four primary sectors. Water includes desalination, water treatment, distribution networks, and consumption monitoring technology. Energy covers conventional power generation, transmission, distribution, and grid technology. Renewable Energy includes solar PV, concentrated solar power, wind, energy storage systems, and hydrogen. Technology spans smart cities, AI in utilities, IoT for grid management, electric vehicles, and EV charging infrastructure.
