Etèr Fragrance stand branding at ADNEC, delivered for a Kuwait agency
AMP is a boutique marketing agency in Kuwait. At the end of August they needed someone in the UAE to handle the stand branding for their client, Etèr Fragrance, at Teeb Al Hazm in Abu Dhabi. The show opened on 25 September. We had our first call with them on 31 August, and the stand was handed over before the doors opened.
Teeb Al Hazm is a perfume and oud exhibition. This year is its second UAE edition, in ADNEC Marina Halls 1 and 2, running until 5 October 2026.
Working with a team in Kuwait
The first call was on Google Meet, with AMP’s team joining from Kuwait. We agreed how approvals would run: 3D design first, then technical drawings and a sample board of the materials, then the final spec and quote. Design approvals went over WhatsApp. Quotes and invoices went by email.
AMP made the first 3D design. Then Etèr’s requirements changed, so our head of production, Muhammad Nader, revised it and turned it into drawings our workshop could build from. The quote went out on 3 September, and a revised one followed when the scope moved.
AMP kept the client and the creative direction. We did the part that needed someone in the UAE: production, ADNEC paperwork, transport and installation. On our side they dealt with two people, Nader for design and production and Swalih for accounts.
What we put on a fixed stand
Etèr didn’t get a bare space. The show gave them a fixed stand, with the structure, gold columns and counters already standing, so the design had to fit inside someone else’s frame. We couldn’t move a column or change a fascia height.
Everything else was ours to change. We put Etèr panels over the structure, including the white fronts on the three display counters, and the “ETÈR FRAGRANCE” lettering on both gold fascias. The back walls got navy draping and a set of bulb-lit Etèr letters. The floor is navy carpet from wall to wall. Visitors sit on navy velvet stools while they test, and the main products stand on copper-toned plinths. The flowers came from us too: blue, white and yellow, on the centre table and on the plinths.
The draping is fire-retardant fabric, and this was the first stand we’ve used it on. It gave the back of the stand a soft, heavy look that flat panels can’t, without putting untreated fabric into a busy exhibition hall.
Made to be filmed
Influencers came through the stand during the show. That changes the job a little. A stand normally has to read from the aisle, and this one also had to look right on a phone held at arm’s length.
Navy and gold help here because they hold up under hall lighting and on a phone camera. The lit letters on the back wall matter more than you’d think. Once someone is filming from inside the stand, the fascia signs are above the shot, and the backdrop letters are what keeps the brand name in frame. The front is open, so a creator can get the counters, the flowers and the back wall in one take.
How an agency runs a UAE stand from Kuwait
An agency working in another country usually loses time in two places: getting cleared by the venue, and waiting on whoever it subcontracts the build to. We are an approved contractor at DWTC and ADNEC, so the venue side ran through our own team. The signage and panels came out of our own workshop in Al Quoz, so when the design changed, the change went straight to the people cutting and printing the panels. It also meant the quote was our real production cost, not a subcontractor’s price with our margin on top.
